WP2 and WP3

WP2 SRA grain and chips production improvement (I.BLU, CSM)

Improvement of SRA chips (for charging) and grains (for injection) properties will be defined in this WP according to the specific use as foaming and reducing agent in the furnace. I.BLU in cooperation with CSM will work about manufacturing cycle in order to optimize: grain density, grain mechanical strength, grain size, homogeneity, pollutants (as Chlorine) reduction.

WP3 Design of the new SRA injection device (Tenova, CSM, Feralpi)

This WP includes the following activities:

• Survey of possible technological solution
• CFD simulations of existing carbon injector
• Design supported by CFD simulation of new SRA injector
• Specification for the granulated SRA pneumatic transport
