The traditional presence of CSM as the Italian reference pole in European research (RFCS and Framework Programmes) results in hundreds of international collaboration agreements and contracts. CSM stands as national reference point on the Industry 4.0 (I4.0) issues supported by a network of the major Italian Universities and the main public Research Centers. Currently CSM also contributes to the definition of the national development lines for I4.0 issues. The traditional presence of CSM as the Italian reference pole in European research (RFCS, Framework Programmes, H2020) results in hundreds of international collaboration agreements and contracts. CSM has a long-standing European tradition dating back to 1970, when Italy participated in the first projects of RFCS (Research Fund for Coal and Steel) program, and we are currently involved in:

  • 58 RFCS (Research Fund for Coal and Steel) projects
  • 10 FP7 (7th Framework Program) projects
  • 5 Horizon 2020
  • CSM is high-level participants in the European Technological Platforms:
  • ESTEP (steel)
  • EuMat (advanced materials)
And also co-founders of RIES (Research Initiative European Steel) for the coordination among the main iron and steel research centers in Europe.
